Who Do We Work With

Our team of licensed psychologists has expertise in a variety of areas, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. We are committed to staying up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in the field of psychology.

Drug Addiction

drugaddiction

These are people who have experience with using drugs; alcohol, cigarettes, marijuana, miraa, heroine, cocaine etc. These are people who are in recovery and people who are actively using drugs.Recovery is not an easy journey and having the right supportive resources can help a person in recovery to maintain sobriety in the long-term. Having psychotherapy sessions can be beneficial and productive; equipping coping strategies to maintain recovery.

Correctional Facilities

These are people who have had an encounter with the law; ex-convict, convict, those in remand yet to be convicted. These people are usually held in prisons; for mature adults and juveniles; for minors below 18 years of age. These facilities serve the purpose of reformation.Psychotherapy can serve significantly in Correctional facilities; self-rediscovery, life-skills, reconciliation, re-integration. These are some of the themes of focus during the reformation process. Having a second chance in life is a gift and through therapy these people make the most out of this chance and lead productive lives.

Schools

Schools refer to the primary level, high school level and college level. At schools we have diverse age groups; pre-schoolers, children, teenagers, youth, young adults. Schools also have teachers and trainers. There are also the parents. Therefore, there are complex dynamics to navigate; the triad interactions between the students, teachers and parents.Psychotherapy can play a crucial role of mediating these triads. The complexities of these triads can be difficult to navigate and overwhelm the parties involved. For that reason, through psychotherapy, it eases navigating through these relationships; through the mediation roles. Psychotherapy works towards fostering a productive triad relationship as a priority in the school context.

Children/Teens

Minors are a unique population. There are dynamic themes that overlap; cognitive development, emotional development, physical development, life skills acquisition, transitioning, sexual development etc. Those are just a few themes to mention. When children do not get the support or opportunity they need to explore these themes productively, this can pose some challenges that may be obstacles for their future development.
Therefore, through psychotherapy, despite challenges emerging, therapy can provide a safe space for these kids to process these themes within their unique diverse capacities and still become productive contributing members of society.

Women Empowerment

Women serve diverse roles in our community; as mothers, as daughters, as sisters; family roles. Also, there is the aspect of career roles. These roles are diverse and dynamic, hence there are several expectations of the woman to perform. This can prove to be a great challenge especially when there is incoherence between the real and ideal.
Through psychotherapy, women can learn how to navigate these roles productively while maintaining homeostasis without suffering from severe deprivation by neglecting herself and giving out without proportional returns going back to her. Also, through psychotherapy women can learn how to get out of their roles and focus on themselves through self-care and self-exploration.
